VILLA MARIA Private Bin Chardonnay 2016 EAST COAST NEW ZEALAND

Posted On December 28, 2017

The Villa Maria Private Bin East Coast blend consists of parcels grown in Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and a small portion from the Marlborough region. This inter-regional blend produces a complete wine displaying the full spectrum of Chardonnay flavors. The vineyards in the three regions are managed differently to ensure that their individual microclimate produces the optimal fruit.

This 2016 vintage is fruit-driven in style, exhibiting ripe peach and pear aromas with underlying citrus and fig notes. On the palate these initial fruit flavors are followed by a creamy texture with integrated oak characters. A medium bodied wine that is soft and styled for enjoyment now and over the next two to three years.
